99 things to do…
Whether it’s a 99 ice cream, or you’re looking for 99 things to do over the summer, Discover North East Lincolnshire has got your back.
This weekend alone, you can go to family friendly events across the borough, including “Life in Plastic, it’s fantastic” character event in Freshney Place and “Inflatable Adventure” in People’s Park and the International Market in Cleethorpes this weekend, a Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Nunny’s Farm on Saturday, Picnic in the Park on Sunday (and every Sunday for the next month) in People’s Park and plenty more besides.
If you prefer to get out and about, there’s plenty of places to explore for free – how about finding the imp on Grimsby Minster, or exploring our fantastic parks and open spaces, many of which you can search for dinosaurs, fairies and planets in, thanks to the free Love Exploring app which you can download to any smartphone. There’s also a free I-Spy worksheet created by the House with the Blue Door that you can use to take a walk along the River Freshney with.
For a bit of history and heritage, there’s the Fishing Heritage Museum and Time Trap in Grimsby, take a walk around Tin Town Heritage Centre in Immingham, take a trip to Waltham Windmill or use the Love Exploring app to follow one of the heritage trails around the town centres.
But don’t forget the wonderful beach – whether it’s paddling, building sandcastles or just chilling – it’s a wonderful place to be, and you can get some brilliant instagrammable photos at sunrise and sunset!
